The SDK relies on cryptographic material that must never leave the device in order to provide the intended security level. Therefore, several technical measurements have been established to ensure that this material is secured properly. This ultimately means that the SDK can not offer a complete backup process that does not require the user to re-personalize the device.
Warning: Restoring a backup may seem to work at first glance, e.g. when transferring data from an old device to a new one, but since relevant key material can not leave the device, the app will crash if it is not reset properly. This effect can also occur when a backup is installed on the same device it was created on.
